Tasting Notes. Enticing aromas of redcurrants and blackberries with notes of kalonji and black cardamom. Medium-bodied with a clean run of black fruit and very fine, well-integrated tannins. Nothing really complex, but elegant and nicely focused. Cabernet sauvignon, merlot and Sangiovese.
Aging: At least 10 months in second or third-fill barrels, 30 and 50 hl barrels, then 6 months in bottle.
Food Pairing: Best paired with savory, rustic dishes, roasted meats, and mushroom-based recipes. Its medium-bodied, fresh, and slightly tannic profile complements a wide range of flavors, from game to rich soups.
