Tasting Notes:. This Chardonnay from the Bacigalupi Vineyard in the Russian River Valley is quite impressive. It opens with a fragrant pear and pineapple bouquet with hint of banana and lightly toasted oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, creamy and very rich. The flavor profile is a tasty oak and butterscotch blend with notes of pear. We also detected some hints of pineapple and coconut mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged.
Aging: Barrel fermented in 60% new French oak and stirred on the lees. Aged 10 months French oak
Food Pairing: Lobster bisque or lobster mac n’ cheese.
